Airwise Heating & Air

Maintenance plans

The cheapest repair is the one that does not happen in August

A system that is cleaned and measured twice a year fails less and runs cheaper. Plan members also skip the queue when everyone in the county calls at once.

What a tune-up actually covers

Published so you can compare it against the last company's invoice. A tune-up that takes twenty minutes did not include most of this.

Cooling visit, typical measurements taken. Sample figures for demonstration.
Refrigerant charge Measured by superheat and subcooling, not topped up by guess
Compressor amp draw Compared against the nameplate rating
Capacitor Tested under load and replaced if outside 6% of rating
Condenser coil Rinsed, fins combed, clearance checked
Evaporator coil Inspected, drain line flushed and treated
Temperature split Return against supply, recorded on the report
Blower Wheel cleaned, static pressure measured
Thermostat Calibration checked against a reference probe
Electrical Contactor, wiring and disconnect inspected and tightened

It runs month to month and you cancel with 30 days notice. There is no cancellation fee and no minimum term, because a plan you cannot leave is a plan you stop trusting.

No, and we would rather say so plainly. The plan covers the two visits, the discount and the priority. Anything that needs replacing is quoted separately, at the plan rate.

We will still take it on. If it is beyond economic repair we will tell you at the first visit rather than sell you a plan on a system that has a season left in it.

Yes. Whole home covers up to three systems in one household; for portfolios of more than three we quote per system.

Tell us what you have and how old it is, and we will say which plan is worth it and which is not.
